FAKTA DAN PROPOSISI

F. P. RAMSEY

“Fact and Proposition” (1927) is Ramsey’s article that significantly contributed to content theory and theory of truth, apart from “Truth and Probability” (1926).

Published for the first time in Supplementary Volume VII Proceedings of the Aristotelian Society, “Fact and Proposition” argued that the problem of truth is no more than a linguistic problem, which arises owing to the incapability of ordinary language to express the truth, and, therefore, make the pragmatical approach essential to delineate belief and meaning of utterance by referring to the causal role of that attitude.
